Russian Official Says Ukraine Crisis Nearing Resolution

A senior Russian official said the Ukraine crisis is approaching a resolution, signaling growing confidence in the prospects for a political settlement in the coming period.

Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov stated that Moscow does not understand the recent talks between the United States and Ukraine in Berlin, stressing that the Ukraine crisis cannot be resolved through concessions related to territories Russia considers strategic.

He argued that Russia’s military operation was unavoidable given what he described as a misguided trajectory of events, placing responsibility on Western policies for deepening the Ukraine crisis rather than containing it.

Ryabkov also welcomed recent diplomatic efforts by the US administration, saying they could represent a genuine opportunity to end the conflict if sufficient political will exists among all parties.

His remarks come amid intensified international diplomatic activity and continued economic and military pressures, keeping global attention focused on the prospects for de-escalation or further escalation.
