China and Russia Hold Talks After Energy Supply Halt
China and Russia have held official talks to address the disruption of part of energy supplies between the two countries, following logistical and technical issues that affected oil and gas flows in recent weeks.

Officials from both sides said the meetings focused on finding alternative mechanisms to ensure supply stability and to strengthen long-term cooperation in conventional and renewable energy sectors.

The discussions included the possible expansion of transport networks and pipelines, as well as joint projects in storage and refining.

The move comes as China increasingly relies on Russian imports to meet its industrial needs, while Moscow seeks to diversify markets amid Western restrictions.

Sources indicated that negotiations also covered new financial arrangements to facilitate payments and pricing in local currencies, aiming to reduce exposure to global market volatility.

Technical consultations are expected to continue in the coming weeks toward a comprehensive agreement to restore normal supply flows.
